The North Sound Mental Health Administration (NSMHA) is seeking proposals
from licensed Community Mental Health Agencies and other organizations to
provide specialized mental health services and supports not covered by Medicaid
mental health services. These services are to enhance the lives of NSMHA
consumers and families in the five-county region that includes: Island, San
Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom Counties. The NSMHA Planning Committee has
given priority to the following service categories, though not to the exclusion
of other proposals that may fit in well with the rules of the Federal Block
Grant funds:
- Expand housing and residential services and options
- Expand outpatient services to low-income people who do not qualify for
Medicaid including older adults.
- Expand discharge and related jail mental health services Funding
- Develop service to children in their homes and schools
The amount of available funds is approximately $980,000. The funding level is
projected to be the same as last year.
All organizations including organizations currently receiving Federal Block
Grant Funds must submit a proposal this year.
